April Fresh Piles

Sure, it starts off with just one little load of whites. That I don't fold right away.

But then the boy who only has three pairs of pants (because he can't wear anything besides these Old Navy, elastic waist, nylon mesh, silky soft pants. And there were only three colors.) mentioned that he doesn't have anything to wear.

So I threw in a load of kid's clothes.

Can't fold right now... Dancing With The Stars is on.

And then the man came home with dirty laundry in his duffel bag.

Towels were next. (They are clean when they dry off - why can't they use the same towel more than once?)

Might as well wash my clothes too. Still haven't folded anything.

What have you been neglecting lately?

Apparently, I've been neglecting the same thing as you, except my clean laundry is stacked in the basket in a tower that's taller than the dryer. One false move and that thing is gonna fall!

Here's my routine. Wash. Dry. Pile on the laundry room floor (which miraculously stays clean because there is always laundry on it). After a few weeks I get desperate, rent a movie or two and fold fold fold.

This week I am proud of myself. I've folded after every batch. Now what am I going to do on a Saturday night?

I have neglected EVERYTHING! But I'm sick, so I may have to milk that for awhile because Layne is folding laundry AND making dinner!!

After just getting back from Hawaii who wants to do laundry? I still want to be pampered.

No rest for the weary. My baskets go from the laundry room to the ironing room, but nothing happens except the clothes disappear and then end up back in the laundry room.

It makes me tired.

I thought I was the only one who has piles. Mine is in a big stack down in my family room. Socks are my worst. My kids make a big deal when I finally match up the socks. They call it "Sock Day".

The gray hairs that keep popping up along my face that normally I blame on a freak of nature event, like seeing a mouse and being scared gray....but alas no, I'm going prematurely gray and those shiney little suckers are smiling at me from everywhere...I just hate hair upkeep......that's the biggest thing I'm neglecting.

I'm that way with dishes- I'm fine to load the dishwasher when it's empty. But if it's full of clean dishes, I can't bring myself to empty AND load. So the dishes pile up in the sink, on the counters, on the stove, until Jake realizes I must be overworked and does them himself!

Awwwww, your comments warm my heart, everyone. Just knowing that other people have laundry piles, and dishes (I'm the same way with unloading - but now my boys do it!)in the sink and yes...gray hair!

Sock Day...it's a family holdiay. Hehehe.

Try getting a sock basket.
Ours has a permanent home in the front room.
My pile is 4 loads worth on the couch tonight.
Speaking of piles, will someone please pick up the doggie-poo?

With all the chores and others to take care of the thing I neglect most often is...myself.
