Movie Quote Monday
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Say this quote with an Irish accent (actually, do Irish, Scottish, Irish, Scottish, Irish), and then join in.
"Stephen is my name. I'm the most wanted man on my island. Except I'm not on my island, of course. More's the pity."
"Your island? You mean Ireland."
"Yeah. It's MINE."
"You're a madman."
"I've come to the right place then."
Go.

Movie Quote Monday
Good morning.
Just because I watched a few minutes of this one yesterday, I'll start off with...
"Nine million terrorists in the world and I gotta kill one with feet smaller than my sister."
Go.

Movie Quote Monday
Good morning! This was left from last week (when y'all went to bed early), but it's so good, I'm starting off with it today.
"Well, these thighs haven't gone out of the house without lycra on them since I was 14."
"You were brought up right."
Go.

Movie Quote Monday
Good Morning! Do you have the day off? I do, but no big plans, so I thought I'd start the day off with a little...
"I always knew you were alive, I knew it. Everybody said that I had to let you go. I love you. You're the love of my life."
Go.

Movie Quote Monday
Good morning!
Starting of with a short little quote from a movie that was HOT HOT HOT in the year I graduated from high school. In college, my roommate Valerie and I thought that a guy in our ward resembled the character from the movie and repeatedly said (behind his back of course):
"Hey Goose you big stud!"
Go.

Movie Quote Monday
Good morning!
I'm starting things off with a movie quote that is sung. Can you name the movie and the character?
"I want the world. I want the whole world. I want to lock it all up in my pocket. It's my bar of chocolate. Give it to me now. "
Go.

Movie Quote Monday Is Back!!!
I've been missing it too - just had to bring it back.
Rules refresher: If you know the name of the movie that the quote comes from, put it in your comment. Feel free to name the actor or any other bit of trivia or memory from the movie. Along with your answer, throw out a new movie quote for someone else to guess. Keep it clean - using asterisks is appreciated. If we're stumped, we may ask for a hint. This is open to everyone - join in the fun!
I liked this quote because it gives a nod to the return of Movie Quote Monday.
"Punjab, buy out the 8:00 show. Let's all go to the movies."
Go.

One Last Quote
Well, I was getting ready for another rousing game of Movie Quote Monday -- and I came up blank. I think I've used up all the movies in my brain - and even checking around through movie quotes online, I kept thinking that we'd already used that one. And that one. And even that one.
So I think I'm going to shelve MQM for now - at least until I get some more movies under my belt. I've been playing around with a music lyric game - but I'm still trying to figure out how to do it on the blog. Maybe later I'll introduce something like that.
A great big thank you to everyone that's played over the last three months - it's been a blast. If I could have you all over for a movie night, I would. I make a great bag of microwave popcorn.
If Movie Quote Monday could talk, this is what it would say:
"Oh, you're the best friends anybody ever had. And it's funny, but I feel as if I'd known you all the time, but I couldn't have, could I?"
One last time...who said it?

Movie Quote Monday #11
Good Morning!
Thought I'd start things off with a little:
"John Connor gave me a picture of you once. I didn't know why at the time. It was very old - torn, faded. You were young like you are now. You seemed just a little sad. I used to always wonder what you were thinking at that moment. I memorized every line, every curve. I came across time for you Sarah. I love you; I always have. "
Go.

Movie Quote Monday #10
Good morning!
No Christmas quote here, but
How great is this movie???
"The following April Andy did tax returns for half the guards at *********. Year after that he did them all including the warden's. Year after that they rescheduled the start of the intra-mural season to coincide with tax season. The guards on the opposing teams all remembered to bring their W2s. "

Movie Quote Monday #9
Good Morning!
Starting off with a quote about vomit and miracles.
"One time, I was at this party... and I was sitting on the couch with Amanda McKinney. She was just sitting there, looking beautiful. So, I lean in to kiss her, and I realize I have gum in my mouth. So, I turn to spit it out and put it in a paper cup. I turn back, and Amanda McKinney throws up all over herself. I knew the moment it happened, it was a miracle. I could have been kissing her when she threw up. It would have scarred me for life. I may never have recovered."
Go.
Oh...and who said it? Don't you think he's pretty darn cute?

Movie Quote Monday #8
Good Morning!!
I enjoy this movie for the love story and the accents. Troy loves it for the action.
These are the first lines of the movie, spoken by a narrator. Say it outloud with a Scottish accent.
"I shall tell you of ******* *******. Historians from England will say I am a liar, but history is written by those who have hanged heroes. The king of Scotland had died without a son, and the king of England, a cruel pagan known as Edward the Longshanks, claimed the throne of Scotland for himself. Scotland's nobles fought him, and fought each other, over the crown. So Longshanks invited them to talks of truce - no weapons, one page only. Among the farmers of that shire was Malcolm Wallace, a commoner with his own lands; he had two sons, John and *******. "

Movie Quote Monday #7
Thought I'd start off the morning with a quote, custom chosen for Pinklady. If you read her blog at all, you know that her favorite actor of all time says the following:
"Look Charles, I gotta do this. If I don't, I'll be nothing. I'll end up like my neighbor Ricky Smith. He just sits around crocheting all day and snorting nasal spray. "
Go.

Movie Quote Monday #5
Good Morning!!!
I was going to start off with something a little spooky, a Halloweenish sort of quote, but this caught my eye instead.
"I've been on a diet every day since I was nineteen, which basically means I've been hungry for a decade. I've had a series of not nice boyfriends, one of whom hit me. Ah, and every time I get my heart broken, the newspapers splash it about as though it's entertainment. And it's taken two rather painful operations to get me looking like this."
Go.
